We are an expanding engineering company with sites in Newbury, Salisbury & Hertfordshire. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join our hardworking management team!
HSE Manager - The Role
The HSE manager will manage the operational safety, environment, and people aspects of Barnfield Engineering with primary responsibility for audits and accreditations.
The role will involve continuous improvement in our QMS & levels of training, improvements in safety performance providing safety advice to others in the business.
Key Responsibilities;
Management of all HSE activities within the organisation.
Overall responsibility for all updates and improvement of Health & Safety processes and procedures within the organisation.
Site Safety Inspections and audits.
Management of company training requirements.
Quality review of company documentation, maintaining the register of approved documents and procedures.
Prepare and deliver HSE presentations for training and awareness purposes.
Management of perpetual training matrix.
Toolbox talks.
Collation and processing of safety data from managers across the business, for monthly updates
Management of Health & Safety incident or accidents.
Prequalification questionnaires (PQQ) required for contract tenders and company accreditations.
Management on risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work and participate in any Health & Safety requirements in company tendering process.
Subcontractor and Supplier evaluation procedures including competence and safety documentation, maintaining the approval register up to date.
HSE Manager - What we need from you
Essential;
At least 1 years' experience within a similar or previous HSE role.
Full UK Driving License
NEBOSH Certificate
Working knowledge of industry training requirements.
Desirable;
Previous experience within the Utilities or Construction sector
